Terms of service

Monkey Lala Tours is a shore excursion operator based in Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras. We run our own tours with our own guides and vehicles. We are not an agency reselling someone else's trip, and we are not affiliated with any cruise line.

A booking becomes firm when the payment is confirmed, or when we confirm your cash reservation by email. Until then the spot is held but not guaranteed.

Filling in the form and closing the payment window does not create a booking. If you are not sure whether yours went through, the confirmation email is the answer, and if it did not arrive, write to us before booking again.

All prices are in US dollars, per person, and include what the tour page lists under what is included. Anything not on that list is not included.

Card payments carry a 5.4% transfer fee, added at checkout on its own line. Paying the guide at the port has no fee. The tour price is identical in both cases.

Groups larger than what the form allows are quoted separately on WhatsApp, because they need a different vehicle.

Be at the meeting point at the agreed time, tell us the truth about anything that affects safety, and follow the guide's instructions during the tour.

Some tours involve water, animals or vehicles. If someone in your group is pregnant, has a heart condition, a back problem, or cannot swim, tell us when you book. We will tell you honestly whether the tour is suitable, and if it is not, we will suggest one that is.

We can end a tour early, without a refund, for anyone who is drunk, aggressive, or putting other people at risk. This has almost never happened and we would rather it stayed that way.

Running the tour described on the page, with a licensed guide, in a vehicle that is insured and maintained, and getting you back to your ship with time to spare.

We are not responsible for the cruise line's schedule, for the weather, or for anything the port authority decides. If any of those stop the tour from running, the refund rules in our booking policy apply.

Our liability is limited to what you paid for the tour. Bring your own travel insurance for anything beyond that. Most cruise passengers already have it through their cruise booking.

Guides sometimes take photos and share them with the group afterwards. If you would prefer not to appear in anything we post, say so at the start of the tour and that is the end of it.

We never post a photo of a child without asking the adult first.

Honduran law, and the courts of the Bay Islands. If something goes wrong, write to us first. In fifteen years almost everything has been sorted out with one conversation.

The date at the top of this page is when it was last revised. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published on the day you booked, not a later version.
